    The first settler to arrive in the Milford area was the Rev. Francis McCormick, a Revolutionary War soldier with a thousand acre land grant, in 1796.     Promont is a Victorian mansion circa 1865 and the former home of John M. Pattison, Ohio’s 43rd Governor. It is currently owned and operated as a museum by the Greater Milford Area Historical Society. The museum features period furnishings, a reference library, changing exhibits, and a gift shop. 13th Annual Art Affaire – September 22nd – 11am to 5pm

Art Affaire is Milford’s premier outdoor fine art & crafts show held annually along a 3-block stretch of Main St. (Rt 50) in downtown historic Milford. Presented by the Greater Milford Area Historical Society in association with Lykins Energy Solutions, this show keeps getting bigger and better every year! 

A record-breaking 120 juried, Local & Regional artists will come to Milford this year to exhibit and sell their original, handcrafted work. Each artist applied to be included in this juried show back in April and was selected to participate among various categories. 

You Will Find Many Types of Fine Art and Craft at Art Affaire!

We accept applications for all mediums of work as long as the work is original in concept and composition. Some examples of art you will find on exhibit and for sale include:

  • jewelry
  • leather

  • mixed media
  • painting
  • paper & printmaking
  • photography
  • sculpture

This All Day Event Has Much More to Offer Than Just Beautiful Art!

It will be easy to “make a day of it” with your family and friends at Art Affaire! Check out what else we have in store for you this year:

  • Demonstrating Artists – such as the Ohio Valley Woodturners Guild; Wade McCarren & O’Neal Johnston, woodcarving; June Ludwick, pine needle baskets; John Middick, drawing; and much more!
  • Strolling Musical Entertainment – including Civil War guitarist Steve Ball; Bear Foot with Russ and Barb Childers featuring Appalachian music and storytelling; Kevin Moran, Americana music; Lars Noble, country music; a Roaring 20’s Barbershop Quartet; and Wild Carrot with American roots music.
  • Two hospitality tents where visitors can relax and enjoy refreshments. You will find food by 20 Brix, Harvest Market, Lehr’s Prime Market, Padrino Italian and Tickled Sweet; plus wine and beer from Lehr’s Prime Market.
  • and last, but not least, A Community Cultural Tent featuring local and regional arts-related organizations including Artsy Fartsy, Cincinnati Art Museum, Clermont Chorale, Clermont County Public Library, Historic Milford Association (HMA), Milford Mystery Library, Milford Theatre Guilde and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI)/UC Clermont.

This is most certainly one event you don’t want to miss! Beautiful art, good friends & family, great food, great entertainment, and excellent shopping just in time to get a jump on the holidays – sounds like a perfect fall day to us and we look forward to seeing you there!
