    The first settler to arrive in the Milford area was the Rev. Francis McCormick, a Revolutionary War soldier with a thousand acre land grant, in 1796.     Promont is a Victorian mansion circa 1865 and the former home of John M. Pattison, Ohio’s 43rd Governor. It is currently owned and operated as a museum by the Greater Milford Area Historical Society. The museum features period furnishings, a reference library, changing exhibits, and a gift shop. Art Affaire Poster Image Competition

The 2019 Art Affaire poster image contest winner is Kate Albert!

The official poster of the 14th Annual Art Affaire 

Kate is a local, Milford artist, and longtime Art Affaire participant, yet a first-time poster contest winner! Congratulations, Kate!

A self-taught acrylic painter, Cincinnati native Kate Albert, has always had a great love of art and the outdoors. Both are evident in her unique interpretations of Cincinnati, its various venues and surrounding nature. Kate currently works out of her home studio as a fine artist and graphic designer. She has a real passion for her work, enjoys spending time with her family, and enjoys painting Cincinnati, its many amazing venues, unique landmarks and surrounding communities using her unique, colorful, whimsical style of painting.

The Greater Milford Area Historical Society and the City of Milford, the exclusive poster competition sponsor, are pleased to announce the 2019 Art Affaire Poster Image Competition. The winning design will become the official representation for Art Affaire 2019, and the winning artist will receive $1000 as well as recognition through various Art Affaire marketing initiatives.

The competition accepts all forms of media submitted via IMAGE. The Historical Society will create a poster and other promotion materials, as appropriate, using the winning entry.
