    The first settler to arrive in the Milford area was the Rev. Francis McCormick, a Revolutionary War soldier with a thousand acre land grant, in 1796.     Promont is a Victorian mansion circa 1865 and the former home of John M. Pattison, Ohio’s 43rd Governor. Located in beautiful historic Milford, Ohio, Promont was built circa 1865 as a lovely example of Victorian Italianate architecture in its entire splendor.  The mansion is steeped in old world elegance, period furnishings, yet modern amenities to help create the perfect backdrop for your wedding, reception, corporate meeting or special occasion event.

Our boutique size creates an intimate ambiance for smaller gatherings while accommodating larger events with our spacious grounds.  Step back in time with Victorian ambiance, precise service, and elegant presentations.

Docent-led tours of the house museum are available during your event with advance notice. Also, GMAHS members receive a discount on the house rental fee, so don’t forget to mention you’re a member!
