13th Annual Art Affaire

Art-Affaire-Leaf-Logo-RGB-FinalThe 13th Annual Art Affaire, presented by GMAHS, will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 – always the 4th Saturday in September.

Art Affaire is a juried outdoor show that features art and fine craft. The emphasis is on original work, both in concept and execution, by artists working in the following mediums: clay/ceramics; digital art; drawing; fiber art; glass; jewelry; leather; metalwork; mixed media; painting; photography; paper/print making; sculpture; wearable art; wood; other. Additionally, Art Affaire features a number of local arts-related guilds, clubs and organizations. Guilds, clubs and organizations are not eligible for judging or awards.

All proceeds from Art Affaire support GMAHS programming.

Preparing for jury review. GMAHS has put together a brief guide on jury preparation – DOWNLOAD JURY GUIDE (191). Additionally, we encourage you to spend time on the Internet or at the library reviewing jury preparation articles and recommendations. We do the Art Affaire jury process digitally, so your images need to be clear, crisp and vibrant.

Complementing Art Affaire, GMAHS will host the Community Cultural Tent area where local and regional arts-related organizations can interact with visitors to explain their respective offerings. The Ohio Arts Council (OAC) helped fund this program with state tax dollars to encourage economic growth, educational excellence and cultural enrichment for all Ohioans.
