Visit us at the beautiful “house on the hill” and explore the 1865 Victorian Italianate mansion, which has been restored to the period of 1865-1906, when Governor Pattison and his family lived here. For a $5 donation, our all-volunteer docents and history lovers are excited to guide you on a tour of the house, to include the top of the observation tower, whose staircase is a most fascinating exhibit of Milford history itself.
After you tour the house, peruse the gift shop filled with unique gifts and mementos. We have local history books for sale, prints, stationary, as well as gift items. Enjoy the quiet contemplation of the grounds and sit a spell in the shade of the house, or the trees, and imagine how it would have been. Browse the book you bought. Or bring some lunch. Or your art supplies.
We’ll see you soon!
